Charge Transport in Ca3-xRxMn2O7 Layered Perovskites (R = La / Y, 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.33)

The Ca3Mn2O7 crystal structure comprises two perovskite CaMnO3 sub-cells enclosed between two rock-salt CaO layers. The project studies the effect of dopant identity and amounts on charge transport. Following the phonon glass electron crystal approach, the study aims to reduce the electrically resistive behavior of CaO planes while retaining their desirable thermal insulation property.
