Research:
Phase-field modeling of precipitation and morphology evolution in thermoelectric materials. My work focuses on how thermodynamics, interfacial energy, elastic anisotropy, lattice mismatch, external strain, and other factors influence critical nucleus formation, growth, and coarsening of Ag₂Te precipitates in a PbTe matrix. This research aims to provide a computational framework for microstructure design in thermoelectric materials, especially for tailoring precipitate morphology and interface area to improve phonon scattering while maintaining favorable electronic transport.
