Research:
As a postdoctoral researcher in Prof. Yaron Amouyal’s group at Technion, my work focuses on developing high-efficiency topological thermoelectric materials, particularly Bi2Te3-based systems. These materials exploit topological surface states to enhance carrier mobility while suppressing thermal conductivity, thereby improving thermoelectric efficiency. Through controlled nanostructuring and interface engineering, such as tuning grain boundaries and introducing Te nanoprecipitates, I aim to optimize charge and phonon transport. I investigate the contribution of surface states using magnetotransport analysis, including weak antilocalization modeling, and complement the experimental work with density functional theory (DFT) and Boltzmann transport simulations. This integrated approach supports the development of efficient materials for waste heat recovery and sustainable energy conversion.
